The funds have now been tallied following last week’s 8th Annual Coldwater Curl For a Cure event.
A grand total of $31,000 was raised this year, far surpassing goals and even last year’s total.
The curling event took place last Saturday, March 5th, in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
The hard working group sends thank you’s to their sponsors, Eastlink Communications, FMR Scrap Buyers, Hewitt’s Farm Market and Bakery, and Novanni.
Event Organizer Karen Stiles and her committee members say the event could’t have happen without everyones assistance from sponsors, to donors of raffle prizes and gifts, the food contributions, volunteers, and all the fundraising curling teams for participating, and bringing in a record amount in funds.
This year’s top individual earner was once again Eleanor Bloom.
The winners of the Curl for the Cure Trophy and the top fundraising team was Team Brad.
