Tomorrow will be a big day for more than 270 grade six students from Orillia and Severan township.
Its graduation day, but they are not graduating from school but from the DARE program.
Orillia OPP Special constable Wanda Peirce says the Dare Program has been around for some time.
the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) is a program that trained O.P.P. officers teach to grade six students in our area.
Pierce says It teaches them safe ways to say NO to drugs, alcohol, tobacco and violence and how not to give in to negative peer pressure.
The graduation will be held at the Orillia Opera House at 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
During the graduation there will be a K-9 demonstration, Street Crime demonstration, many guest speakers and D.A.R.E. Champion and singer Michala Todd will be performing on stage as well.
