Quick action by a concerned motorist and Orillia OPP resulted in an impaired driver being removed from the road before any serious could have happened.
On Thursday around 6:30 p.m., Orillia OPP were advised of an erratic driver heading westbound on Highway 12 from Orillia. The caller was following the vehicle and provided police with a description of the vehicle and the direction of travel.
The vehicle was stopped west of Warminster on Highway 12. The female driver was arrested and transported to the police station to provide samples of her breath.
A 40 year old woman from Maple Ontario now is facing farious impaired driving charges and will be in court March 15th.
In addition the car she was driving, which was not hers was impounded for 7 days.
