Lakehead University received two business achievement awards from the Orillia District Chamber of Commerce at the Chambers annual awards event.
The Orillia campus won the Green Award, for making a noticeable effort in product development or conservation, and the Site Enhancement/New Construction Award, for the construction of the new University Avenue academic building.
Both awards were accepted by Lakeheads Assistant Vice-President of Administration and Finance Brian Jeffs.
Jeffs says they could not have accomplished this without the enthusiastic support from the City of Orillia, the County of Simcoe and members of the community.
