Orillia Boston Pizza hosting an Orillia Firefighters Fundraiser from 5pm – 8pm tonight, Wednesday March 2, with money raised going towards the Orillia Disaster Relief Fund.
Volunteer Firefighter John Falcon says members of the Orillia Fire department will be serving to help raise funds and awareness for the Orillia Disaster Relief Fund, which helps people withing the city when disasters hit.
Falcon says the relief fund is there to help out the Red Cross, Salvation Army and Vicors when money is needed.
Boston Pizza will be contributing 10% of all food sales this evening to the fund.
There is also an extensive silent auction taking place with some great prizes to be won.
Falcon extends a huge thank you to Jiggs MacDonald, a former Islanders announcer, who helped out quite a bit, and of course to the community members who are coming out to help raise money.
