Orillia City council will be looking at a proposal to redesign and restructure the cities Economic Development committee and Economic Development Office on Monday.
The recommendation going before Council would see the EDC form new subcommittees that would include five, so called, economic pillars.
They would include Tourism, Marketing and communications, ReseArch, development and Investment, Business retention and expansion and Academic Advancement and wellness.
In addition, council committee will be asked to recommend the necessary funds for the development of the Waterfront Development and Downtown revitalization Plans be forwarded to the 2011 budget process for consideration.
