It seems that frost heave is to blame for structural movement at the Historic Orillia Opera House.
Soil Engineers Ltd has concluded their study, and ruled out previous thinking that construction at the new Library building was to blame.
Orillia Council is now planning to move forward on a structurtal assessment, that among other things, will study how best to protect the Opera House from future damage.
