A convicted murderer who failed to return after an unescorted pass from a correction centre in Gravenhurst,., is back in custody.
Ashley Crawford failed to return Friday to the minimum-security Beaver Creek Correctional Institution.
Officials say Crawford was arrested without incident Monday night at a Toronto rooming house.
Police spotted him while at the rooming house on another matter.
Parole officials had granted Crawford an unescorted pass to Peterborough.
He was convicted of first degree murder back in 2001 in connection with the death of a Killaloe women after setting fire to her home.
