Don’t be suprised if you get hugged by a stranger in Orillia today, Saturday February 19th.
About 25 community members will be handing out free hugs in the city today to help spread goodwill.
The group plans to start the day at 11am by walking from Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital down Mississaga Street to Couchiching Beach Park, wrapping up by about 2pm.
The group’s inspiration for the day apparently came from an Australian “Free Hug” campaign they spotted on YouTube.
Everyone is invited to join the campaign, or come by for a hug.
