Security concerns have prompted Mayor Angelo Orsi to ask for additional help in his office, in the form of an assistant to his exectuvie assistant.
The Mayor explained the request to Council saying currenty the Mayors office and reception area is not designed to offer a secure enviornment for dealing with sometime sensentive city business.
He says what is needed is a secure closed work enviornment for his Executive Assistant who he says now is sometimes working up to 60 hours a week dealing with city business.
Mayor Orsi says because of that workload, there is a need for a part fime assistant to help ease the work load of his EA.
Council agreed with the Mayors request although one Councillor, Paul Spears felt this was a bit early to be acting on this request since this new Council has been only on the job for two months.
