Its back to work for our MP as Parliament is set to resume Monday (today).
While the Opposition parties have been making threats about a possible election, Simcoe North MP Bruce Stanton is staying out of that fight.
He says his constituants want him to concentrate in issues that will impact the riding.
Stanton says he expects this session of parliament to continue to focus on the economy and job creation.
He says while there is slow improvement to the economy there are still too many people out of work and many busineses that have not yet recovered from the downturn.
Stanton says the main focus will be on the budget which is expected to be delivered either in late February or early march.
He held two pre budget meetings in Orillia and Midland and received some very good suggestions and advice from people as to what should be contained in the document.
Stanton says his report already has been forwarded to the Minister of Finance.
As this session of Parliament gets under way, Stanton says he wants to see the Government continue to make interventions that improve the local economy in Simcoe North and open up opportunities for people to get back to work.
