Orillia city council held a special committee meeting Saturday to discuss the priorities of Council over the next four years.
The meeting was an extension of a team building meeting held in November, and was meant to finalize the strategies for this new council.
They has five core values that they have agreed upon, within their strategies moving forward.
They are supporting business, investing in municipal infrastructure, a healthy community, environmental stewardship, and placing people first.
Orillia City Councillor Linda Murray says that council has a strong team attitude as it moves forward.
While she says their will be disagreements within council, it is important that they agree upon their core values.
Murray says these values will be made public and they will seek input from local citizens on the matter.
