We now know the name of the woman killed in a 40 car pile up on Highway 11 between Barrie and Orillia.
22 year old Connie Ward of Barrie got out of her vehicle to check the damage and was hit by another vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The chain reaction collision started when a tractor trailer went into the ditch on the highway at the 8th Line in Oro Medonte Friday morning.
Police were on scene with a heavy tow to remove the truck when a second collision happened causing the pile up.
Four people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
