Since the Spring of last year, the board has had a presence on Facebook and Twitter and now has created a YouTube channel to share news stories and information via short video clips.
Board Coummunication Manager Debbie Clark says they have to provide as many communbication options as they can to stay connected.
She says these additional avenues of communication have enabled the Board to increase connections with the public and augment current web-based communications.
Clarke says connecting via social media offers students, parents, volunteers and other community members a convenient place to check for updates in a location they already visit.
Clarke says currently, two videos are available on the boards YouTube channel:
Other short videos will be created throughout the year and posted.
