Orillia City Council will continue to push ahead in regards to the revitilization of the waterfront.
Council passed a motion put forward by City Councillor Patrick Kehoe that will allow the Economic Development Committee to spearhead a Waterfront and Downtown revitalization plan.
The revitalization plan will also include the input of the Planning, Public Works and Engineering division as well as Parks and Recreation Staff.
Kehoe says that is very important for the plan to get off the ground as soon as possible as it is a great opportunity for the City.
He says the city possesses a beautiful waterfront that can be leveraged to help revitalize the downtown.
Kehoe says that the waterfront and the downtown must be made into a desirable destination.
