A 21-year-old Orillia man was killed when the car he was driving struck a tractor trailer on Durham Regional Road 15 east of Beaverton…on Monday.
Police officers from North Division were called to the scene of a collision involving a car and a tractor trailer just after 2 monday afternoon..
A Volkswagen sedan being operated by the Orillia man, was travelling west on Regional Road 15 just west of Simcoe Street. The driver of the sedan lost control of the vehicle and swerved into the path of an eastbound tractor trailer.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the deceased is being withheld at the request of next of kin.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
