The Huntsville O-P-P detachment is looking into a number of break and enters in the area.
One such case happened at a couple of homes in the Northwood Road area of Port Sydney on New Year’s Eve.
Police report one or more suspects entered one residence leaving two juice cans behind.
There was also vomit left at the scene.
A neighbouring home was also broken into as the intruders gained entry by smashing a window.
There a case of beer was taken from a refrigerator and a couple of bottles were found opened and the contents emptied.
In addition, the O-P-P say there were a number of seasonal residences that were broken into.
Four were broken into on Pine Ridge Road on Lake of Bays last Friday.
All four were found ransacked with a small television set and a computer taken.
Two cottages on the Limberlost Road area of Lake of Bays were broken into that same day but there is no word of any items stolen.
On New Year’s Eve, police were called to a home on Old Muskoka Road.
There they discovered an alarm was activated but no sign of anything was stolen.
