The OPP have made an arrest in relation to several arson cases in the City of Orillia.
On November 3rd at 2:40 a.m. police were dispatched to a business on Peter Street South with reports of a fire. Police observed a small fire in the foyer of the business which was quickly extinguished.
Then on November 6th at 6:40 a.m. The Orillia OPP was again contacted by the same business on Peter Street South in Orillia with reports of another fire in the foyer.
Police attended with the Orillia Fire Department on both occasions and the fire was quickly extinguished.
An investigation into the incidents was commenced and as a result,18 yr old Brian MacMillian of Orillia was arrested and charged with Arson.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and released on a recognizance with a court appearance of November 19, 2018 at the Ontario Court of Justice, Orillia.
