(UPDATE) Charges Laid In Police Pursuit

A New Tecumseth man has a long list of charges to deal with.

Charges have been laid against a man who led police on a pursuit yesterday afternoon(Tues) that began following an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Everett and ended with his arrest in downtown Barrie.

A spike belt was placed on Highway 89, west of Alliston, and an OPP helicopter was used to track the pick up truck.

Police continued the pursuit eastbound on County Road 90 near Angus,  and just over an hour after the chase began, and travelling on a flat tire,  the truck was boxed in by Barrie police.

A slew of charges against a 29 year old New Tecumseth man including  armed robbery,  dangerous operation of a motor vehicle,  and flee police.
